The serpent and shield with the face of Athena, Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa (Mound of Shards). A Greek Agathodaimon (serpent) wearing the double crown of Egypt, holding a Greek thyrus (pinecone staff) and a winged spiral serpent staff.  

The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa is historical archaeological site located in Alexandria, and is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages. Merges Greek, Roman and Egyptian iconography.
