remember all the lies you’ve been told about how trumpism is a populist, “working class” movement? lmao
the crimes of bourgeoisie reactionaries will always be pinned on the working class people those very same bourgeoisie leech off of.
but you know what’s really incredible? the more i think over this clip?
you can tell he doesn’t even realize how much he’s exposing himself and the rest of his movement here. he thinks he’s bragging about being a Salt Of The Earth Middle Class Guy.
because you can tell that in his worldview, business owners- guys who own car dealerships, auto shops, restaurants, etc- are Hard Working Job Creators. the employees of those businesses though? the people who actually generate the value those businesses profit off of? well, we’re barely even human in his worldview. why, we don’t even create jobs. we merely work at the jobs he and the rest of his class so graciously create for us.
like there’s such a huge gulf between what he think’s he’s saying when he says “we’re the business owners” and what he’s actually saying.
