That actually reminds me, it's REALLY common for conspiracy theorists to invoke Hegelian dialectics as a deep state plot. For example:
www(dot)collective-evolution(dot)com/2018/06/22/hegelian-dialectic/
or if you don't want to read a whole article:
Which is like, so bizarre to me. Dialectics isn't like a magic spell or a government program, it's a method of describing and understanding the process of ideas changing over time. It'd be like claiming the concept of bell curve distribution as a nwo ploy to enforce conformity and stamp out individualism. Why are these people incapable of understanding history or humanity as anything other than games of chess played by grand masters deciding everything in advance?
oh yeah this common right-wing misunderstanding (or deliberate misrepresentation) of hegelian dialectic is 100% certainly exactly what undeadwill was referencing, and also almost certainly is basically the only exposure he’s had to any writing on dialectics at all. like most right-wingers have never read anything from hegel or marx or any other dialectician, they just heard alex jones go “dialectics is when the luciferian nwo stages school shootings to usher in totalitarian rule” and immediately were like “sounds legit, no need to actually read any dialectician, i know everything i need to now”
