Tomorrow marks the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Imbolc (Candlemas in the Christian tradition) is an earth-based holiday observed Feb 1-2 in celebration of the coming return of Spring. The earth feels a little warmer, the sun shines a little brighter, and new life quickens in the soil. ⁠

Imbolc is an archetype of purity, growth, renewal, new beginnings, fertility and abundance. Fire, representing the life-giving force of the sun, is an important part of traditional Imbolc celebrations. Bonfires, a fire at the hearth or candles lit on an altar are all a beautiful way to celebrate the return of the light after the darkest days of winter. Wishing you all blessings this sacred day 🔥⁠
