This is the same woman DeSantis fired for refusing to fudge COVID numbers this summer, when he ordered all the state coroners to stop reporting COVID deaths. She’s since continued her work collecting counts on her own from all the same sources and running the FloridaCOVIDaction.com site so that we can actually track cases here, not just see the numbers DeSantis wants us to see. This weekend we topped 10k new cases a day. AGAIN.
The Sun Sentinel newspaper in Broward County (Fort Lauderdale) ran a huge exposé on DeSantis and his mishandling (south Florida has been hit the worst throughout all of this, and hit first—all those tourist cruises? They come & go from Miami & Fort Lauderdale) and how deeply his cronyism for Trump and the GOP have fucked over Florida. No shutdowns, local restrictions overruled by the governor, constant yes-man repetition of Trump’s bullshit.
And then this happens Monday.
Tell me again how we’re not living in a fascist police state?
