When Republicans talk about “legal ballots”, they mean “Republican ballots”. They don’t believe that votes for anyone else are legitimate. They just plain do not believe in democracy. That’s why they’ve popularized this ridiculous “the U.S. is a republic, not a democracy!” talking point you keep hearing (from uneducated fools who don’t realize that a constitutional republic is a form of democracy).
