The Curse of Frankenstein will be released on Blu-ray on December 15 via Warner Archive. The 1957 British horror film is the first installment in Hammer Film’s Frankenstein.
Terence Fisher (Horror of Dracula) directs from a script by Jimmy Sangster (Horror of Dracula), based on Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel. It stars Peter Cushing, Hazel Court, Robert Urquhart, and Christopher Lee as the creature.
The two-disc edition includes the film in three aspect ratios: 1.85 widescreen, 1.66 widescreen, and 1.37 open matte. It has been restored in 4K from preservation separation elements. Extras are listed below.
