I have always loved this movie, and I have always loved this theme.  It is just so effective during the end credit sequence (which is so simple, yet I just adore it), and the melody (found throughout various tracks on the album) is just so powerful, and fits the movie so well.  It’s very strong, yet very kinetic at the same time. 

Out of all of Cronenberg’s work, Scanners will always remain my favorite.  It has literally become an iconic film, as it rightly deserves to be.
