This is a fucking terrible advert given the UK government’s attacks on the Arts over the past few weeks.
It might as well read: “Fuck Arts, just do STEM🤪”
Of course, Arts have humanity in them so the Tories fucking hate that.
This is so enraging. It’s also economically illiterate given how much money the arts brings to the UK economy, and given it is one thing at which we genuinely (insert hollow laugh) world beating. They just can’t bring themselves to care about anything that brings joy and meaning and value to life, because they’re dead inside.
Let’s take a look at the contribution of - I don’t know - the fishing industry to the UK economy.
£1.4 billion pounds - jeez you could buy a few Irn Brus with that. I can absolutely see why the UK government has spent the past four years working up such a fuss over fishing rights and the EU!
Now let’s check what the Arts offers I’m sure it’ll be a paltry figure.
£101.5 billion
Oh hey! Early warning fascism? Two ticks for this… Government scheme. Thing.
If you take everything into account, you’d probably be better off circling the ones that the UK government don’t do.
You’re right. I’ve fixed it.
Good job - a few additions:
Religion and government intertwined - Bishops still sit in the House of Lords so that’s a circle in my book.
Rampant sexism - hard to define or be sure about what goes on behind closed doors but it doesn’t look like there’s been an attempt at a balanced cabinet with 6 women out of 22 cabinet positions.
