Part 2 of the differences in manga between the adaptation of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (Godzilla vs. MG2 1992). This is really interesting!:

-MG pretty much destroys Godzilla, first blinding him, then using the G-Crusher machine. MG’s censors indicate that Godzilla has been killed! 

-MG, infected by a “virus” from it’s MKG parts, goes berserk! Despite so far Godzilla being the villain of the story, the Berserk MechaGodzilla proceeds to. violently attack Godzilla, who is already dying, paralyzed on the ground, blinded. Note the spine ripping. Then, MG slaughters Rodan (note the head soaked in blood). It’s a pretty good way of making MechaGodzilla in the last few moments. The movie suffers from confusion of who we are supposed to root for.

-Rodan revitalizes Godzilla like normal. However, the fight continues, and the berserk MKG-MG hybrid acts on it’s own and continues to fight. Despite Godzilla repeatedly destroying parts of it’s body, it gets up again and again, until it’s a mass of wires and tries to self-destruct with a big detonation. Godzilla survives and absorbs the blast. Really interesting and cool concept.

-Baby Godzilla is super cute!
