Stagecoach Mary was a character in a 1976 public television documentary (South by Northwest: Blacks in the American West) where she was played by Esther Rolle (start at 9:29 for the section on Mary Fields). Dawnn Lewis played Stagecoach Mary in the 1996 Western comedy TV movie, The Cherokee Kid. And in the 2012 TV movie, Hannah’s Law, Fields was played by Kimberly Elise. But I agree. She needs a movie of her own.
