The Travis County Sheriff’s Office says this trumpaloompa regatta sank itself, since the only reason there was this much chop on a day with light winds is because there were so many dumbasses ignoring the NO WAKE ZONE signs and racing around to virtue signal at each other in a narrow river valley lake that the wakes started resonating, which is why the signs are there in the first place.

With a narrative irony which will absolutely go unnoticed by all in attendance, the big expensive speed boats and mini-yachts were just fine, and it was almost exlusively the small, cheap boats owned by working class people which were sunk. So much for that ~~rising tide~~ they keep talking about.
