July 22/23/24 - Tactics are evolving in the battle for Portland, with protesters learning from Chile, Hong Kong and other recent uprisings, and of course their own recent experience.

Protesters are blowing back any tear gas towards the feds using leaf blowers and waving shields, moving as phalanxes and coordinating shield walls to protect other protesters cutting the fence with grinders or throwing back gas grenades, using lacrosse sticks to toss back tear gas grenades, using high-powered dazzle flashlights and laser pointers to blind the feds, and using umbrellas to protect eachother against pepperspray and pepper balls.
