I’m thrilled to finally be able to share some of the builds I designed over the last year or so!

This kingfisher is part of our new Supersized show (tiny creatures made BIG!) currently on display at Marwell Zoo until November. At over 3 meters tall this fella is one of the largest models in the show. I’m a big bird lover so I was very excited to make this one! I wanted to capture this magnificent bird at its most breathtaking; emerging from the water with a freshly caught fish.

These are king Fisher feet.

I must admit that I am quite embarrassed to have gotten this wrong. If we do build this fella again, which we may well do, I’ll be fixing his feets beforehand. Thank you for the feedback. I shall endeavour to do better. :)
