My “accepting” manager pulled the same shit and then expected me to do the same if the customer is Black or Hispanic. She didn’t like hearing me say “I’m too busy watching this middle age white lady trying to remove anti theft censor tags off the product in her big ass bag.” Working in retail for over 15 years MAJORITY of shoplifters I’ve dealt with have been white.
