I live in vietnam and the number is actually that low lmao vietnam has closed down schools and universities and started online learning since feb. they have praticed social distancing and lock down for 20 days now. The government literally spent billions to put tourists in quarantine for free to health check them everyday for fourteen days to make sure community spread doesn’t happen. They’re willing to risk the economy as long as the people are safe. Like you do know vietnamese people have access to the internet right???

freemonker

Population differences you people, America has significantly more people total

leviathan-supersystem

wow you’re such a genius, if only there were statistics for the number of cases per million people so we could scale it to population size, such as here:

can any mathematicians tell us whether 3 or 3,379 is the larger number? can any number wizards help us out on that one

Americans love saying "can't trust the government!" before swallowing every slimy ounce of reactionary propaganda

fluoridevictim

Oh yeah Vietnam, the country still chock to the brim with textile and shoe making sweatshops. Great example of Communism, and the Marxist spirit.

I’m generally pro-Vietnam. But the source of this “story” is twitter and the picture shows meals that would feed maybe 50 people  for 1 day if we are being generous. This is like a corporate lunch. If this was actually grocery/meal rationing it would be raw food products.

leviathan-supersystem

hmmmm buddy i feel like the more significant “story” here might be the 0 deaths in comparison to what was last i checked 130,000 deaths.

also i’m gonna gently suggest that perhaps there might have been more food sent out than just what is immediately visible in the picture, just a thought. (also you can see them handing bags of raw food product [from the look of it cabbage or lettuce or smth] in the picture on the left, come on dude)
