Both displeased and completely unsurprised that my hometown’s on here, but then Oregon as a whole has a long, fucked-up history when it comes to black people. This rinkydink town has so few black families that I literally noticed when we started having black families and was like “oh shit, nobody tell the dumbass with the Confederate flag truck,” and this post drummed up so much buried worry I just googled local hate crimes just to be smacked in the face with the fact that apparently half of all hate crimes in my entire state just come from fucking Eugene, a town most folks out here in the boonies think is some sort of hyper-leftist hive mind where the college “forces tolerance” down your throat.
I guess what I’m saying is Oregon is great if you just remove all the people from it and now I’m even sadder I’m basically trapped in this dead-end dumpster corner of the valley.
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
