It's been 4 days since I started keeping tabs on this and the WWPD has apparently made no further efforts at explanation, while tattoo experts have continued to point out in the comments of their original post that the knuckles were clearly added later as an attempted coverup of the original runes. The only defense comes from Top Fan bootlickers who all conveniently "know officer small personally" from either his time in the Marines or as a cop who insist that it "doesnt need to be explained to civvies".
