Whether it’s the next big virus or climate collapse, we need to move from cultures of prepping and hoarding to communities that work on collective survival.
The difference in a few examples:
Prepping: emergency water bottles in every house
Collective survival: a ground water tap and filter (or skills & tools to make one)Prepping: sterilized bandages and painkillers in every house
Collective survival: a sterilizer and medical herb gardenPrepping: plenty of meals that you don’t need to heat
Collective survival: lowtech suncookerThe state is going to only push individualist solutions for obvious reasons. The tools for collective survival are ours to build and share.
