This is the rage of someone who chose to go to war. Imagine the rage of the victims of US imperialism.
This is why you never placate manipulators. The veteran is right in saying Biden has blood on his hands. Biden brings up that his son served in the army for a year to try use that fact to deflect. The veteran says he’s not going after his son, and suddenly the interaction has shifted to being about Biden’s son because Biden knows he can manipulate the situation to make himself look like the “winner”: the veteran made it clear that he doesn’t have a problem with his son so the more aggressive Biden gets implying that the veteran is going after his son by saying he “better not be” the more the veteran is going to reassure him that he’s not, which to onlookers would look like the veteran is backing down on the actual issue he brought up.
The veteran who was completely right backed down on something barely tangentially related to the issue he had actually brought up and that gave Biden all the optics he needed to be able to leave the situation looking like he “won”, leaving the veteran looking unreasonable shouting at Biden as he walks away because the issue the veteran had was never addressed
It disgusts me how Biden will use his son to deflect criticism from, of justify his shitty policies
