My plan for Solarpunk Action Week currently is:
- Really concentrate on my solarpunk themed post series
- Try to set up a mushroom farm
- Make and leave origamis for people to find in random places
- Make some Solarpunk party decorations (May Day is approaching!)
- Clean the balcony and prepare it for gardening season
SnitchBorrow a food dehydrator from parents and dehydrate some vegetables- Make a solarpunk tunic and maybe pants
- Knit a scarf for okapi statue in the middle of the neighborhood
- Begin the journey of building a neighborhood community
- Solarpunk themed stickers!
- Mend some clothes
I'm fairly sure I can't achieve even half of these, but planning is half of the fun : >
okay i didn’t know mushroom farms could exist this is important
My plan essentially consists of keeping mushrooms (portobello or shiitake) on a paper towel for a while then getting a storage box, tossing some stuff in it (coffee grounds? Soil? Something?), planting hopefully spore covered towel, watering the soil and towel, putting the lid on, putting the whole thing in kitchen cupboard and hoping for the best 😂
I should do something for this. I'm thinking maybe putting up some IWW agitprop, helping my friend with the garden at the catholic workers house, and starting a compost bucket. I live in an apartment and don't have a use for the compost, but my friend wants to use it in her garden and to help the local insect population
