I was on my way out of my apartment today, I notice that some one had set out a bed frame next to the dumpster. I knew better to leave it there because someone else would get it. 

As I approached the dumpster, I noticed a lot of stuff had been thrown in. Not trash, but treasure! The first thing I pulled out was a PS3! It had no power cable or controllers, but it looks like it is good condition and still functional. Normally, I would see something like that thrown out it must be because it was broken. But the other stuff I found belied that because there was more to be found. 

I surmised that one of my neighbors moved out but must of also broken up with her boyfriend and threw out his stuff!

I found:

a PS3

a set of poker chips and cards

a mountain of DVDs

a few CDs

a basket

a stack of books

a surge protector

a calculator still in its packaging

an Ipod

and a flick knife!

Living in a college town, you have lots of people who would rather throw away or destroy their belongs they don’t feel like taking back home with them than see them in the hands of poor people. But, as I said before, I believe the motivation was spite than anything material. 

I called Hunter and told her about it and that the PS3 was her’s if she wanted it. She tried to control her enthusiasm because she was at work, but she was ecstatic. The cost of the power cord, controllers and any needed repairs would definitely be cheaper than buying a new one. Now she can finally play “Journey”!
