Friday the 13th will be released on Steelbook Blu-ray (with Digital) in honor of its 40th anniversary on May 5 via Paramount. It’s available for pre-order for $14.99 on Amazon.
The 1980 slasher classic is directed and produced by Sean S. Cunningham and written by Victor Miller. Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Harry Crosby, Laurie Bartram, Mark Nelson, Jeannine Taylor, Robbi Morgan, and Kevin Bacon star.
Friday the 13th is presented in its uncut version. No new transfer or special features, which is a shame considering the big anniversary. I’m still holding out hope for a new Blu-ray box set once the ongoing lawsuit is over.
