“Dracula, Sovereign of the Dead” (1980)

Based on Marvel’s “Tomb of Dracula” comics. 

In the late 1970s, Toei Animation bought the rights from Marvel to turn some of their properties into animated film. Before the license expired they only made two or them using characters from the public domain. Although Dracula is a non-copyright protected character, this film takes its character designs, plot and side characters from the “Tomb of Dracula” comic series. 

Its was marketed as a children’s film but it is very bloody and violent, features satanism and has a dead baby.
