On this day, 3 January 1913 the Little Falls NY textile strike ended as the predominantly migrant female workforce organised in the Industrial Workers of the World union won their demands. Facing down violent police repression, the women held firm and achieved a reduction in weekly working hours from 60 to 54 with no loss of pay.
