“Ancient Rome was a city of immigrants, like New York: it was from the beginning a crossroads of civilizations, with Anatolian, Iranian and Ukrainian ethnicities, traced in the genetic profile of its first inhabitants, thanks to the analysis of the DNA from 29 archaeological sites, which allowed to reconstruct 12,000 years of migrations.
