Temple of Luxor
At Luxor (ancient Thebes), the ceremonial barques would pass along the Processional Colonnade of Amenhotep III. At its end was the shrine where rituals were performed. Scholars believe they confirmed the passing on of the king’s divine aspect, known as the royal ka.
