TBT: 50 years ago today, the Black Panther Party brought together more than 5000 young activists from all over the US for the inaugural United Front Against Fascism conference. At the conclusion of the three-day conference, attendees committed to starting a new organization, called the National Committees to Combat Fascism (NCCF) - likely the first national anti-fascist youth network in the US. Less than a year later there were NCCF chapters in at least 18 cities.
