It wasn’t just in solidarity with the other GOPs, it was to forward the narrative they’re trying to convey that NO rebulicans are allowed to know what’s going on, as opposed to some 47 of them on various committees having access and the ability to question witnesses.
Also, the way things are currently set up? Having this kind of private hearings with only all of the intelligence committee members allowed to be in the room before public ones? Was a format implemented under Bush and approved by Republicans at the time.
Their screaming about it now is a last-ditch attempt at distraction; they’ve started decrying the process because they KNOW they don’t have a defense against what is being said.
