WTF! instead of hospitals, The Mormon church owns prisons

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints owns shares valued at $6,626,308 in the largest for-profit, privately held prison corporation in the world, CoreCivic Inc.

Spending tithing funds to incarcerate people instead of ministering to them.

Mormons should be ashamed of financially supporting the LDS church corporation.

i get where you’re coming from, but the parishioners are in many ways victims too- they’ve being scammed by an exploitative group which uses cult-like tactics to keep them from leaving.

i’m not going to say shame never has a role in combating the mormon church, but it’s important to come from a place that prioritizes compassion for the people trapped, deceived, or scammed by the church, since in many ways they’re the people being victimized most directly by it.
