Once the winter months hit there are going to be major health epidemics. These facilities are going to be freezing (while some people are literally being housed in the open) and people are going to get sick and die. There’s already reports of those who aren’t being provided adequate supplies and blankets. Mix that with this INTENTIONAL decision to fail to vaccinate when they know there’s an extremely high risk of diseases spreading in conditions like this. 

THEY KNOW WHAT THEY’RE DOING

I know it’s right there but I want to stress that this is AFTER children died of the flu, and more deaths are sure to follow. These people are malnourished, aren’t able to sleep well, have no access to adequate hygiene. Their immune systems are already weakened.

They know they’re going to kill these kids. They know that it’s going to rip through the camps. This is deliberate.

Please remember that the first stages of the Nazi concentration camps were just like this. They weren’t death camps, they were *temporary detainment* centers, or *work camps*. Originally, they also didn’t hold Jews, but trade unionists, socialists, and communists, only later being filled with ethnic minorities like Romani and the Jewish people.

Conditions weren’t actually that inhumane at the very beginning, but they steadily got worse and worse, as the dehumanization of the Jews was growing in strength.

Anne Frank didn’t die at the hands of a Nazi executioner, or by being shot by an SS officer. She died of Typhus.

ICE are doing this on purpose. They are denying them care, so that they die by a preventable disease, counting on the American public to not view Mexicans and Central Americans as humans. Just like the Nazis.

It’s happening again, and we are only a few weeks away in some places of the country where winter weather will hit. Right where these detention centers are.
