
On this day, 28 May 1926, famous Chilean communist martyr and pharmacy worker Ramona Parra was born. After she finished school she took evening classes to become an accountant. However when she was 19 she was killed in the Bulnes Square massacre by police, alongside five other workers, who were protesting against rising prices.
