They want to force women to have kids then have no help to keep them alive after birth

I’d like to point out that the foster care system didn’t make these claims, it was the shitty school system.

The person in charge of the foster care system for that area actually threw a shitfit and went off on the school district for making these claims. They made it absolutely clear that they weren’t taking kids away for not being able to pay for lunches and that their priority was keeping kids with their families. They were rightfully pissed that their agency was weaponized to collect lunch money from poor kids.

Also, I heard on Morning Edition (A National Public Radio Station) this morning (24 July 2019) that five people have come forward to pay the entire lunch debt for the school, and the school  turned down the offer.

This makes it very clear that it’s not about the money.  It’s about “teaching the parents a lesson,” somehow… As if simply being poor were a crime. And this is in one of the poorest regions in the entire U.S..

Some people just get into power because it gives them the ability to be cruel.

(The news story is not up yet, at the time of my writing this, but if you do an Internet search with keywords: NPR, “Morning Edition,” and 24 July, 2019, you’ll find it when it is put online)
