Mill Creek Entertainment has acquired the North American rights to the Ultraman library. They’ll begin by releasing the complete Ultra Q series and Ultraman series on Steelbook Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray on October 15.

Created by Tsuburaya Productions, Ultra Q is the influential Japanese kaiju science fiction television series that ran for 28 episodes in 1996. Kenji Sahara, Yasuhiko Saijou, and Hiroko Sakurai star.

Ultra Q was immediately followed by Ultraman, which ran for 39 episodes in 1966-1967. Susumu Kurobe, Akiji Kobayashi, Hiroko Sakurai, Sandayū Dokumamushi, Masanari Nihei, and Bin Furuya star. It was the first live-action Japanese series to be exported around the world.

The complete, original Japanese broadcast edits of both series have been remastered in high definition with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio. Each set also includes a 28-page collectible booklet.
