Plaster replica of flint saw, found in Egypt, dating from ca. 3000 BC. Woodworking as a decorative craft began in Egypt around 3000 BC and Egyptian carpenters manufactured many wooden items to be buried in the tombs of the dead. Now in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
