Outside the highlighted section the dude makes it pretty clear he’s taking nazi URLs to prevent them from being taken by others. You remember that whole ‘woody’s roundup’ thing where people took the blog names of deleted shitty people’s blogs, to make sure they couldn’t be reused? Same concept. Might even be one of the same guys. 

Highlighting the portion that just says the URL was connected to nazi blogs leaves out a lot of the context and makes it look like it’s the only relevant part. IMO, the more relevant part is the bottom, where the dude praises tumblr for actually getting rid of nazi blogs instead of just him hording URLs to hopefully deter people. 

still feel like if tumblr was actually doing their job they would know that account was no longer a nazi account.

why did it take them… what? years? to get rid of deactivated nazi accounts? i’m not praising tumblr for this.

Oh, yeah, absolutely, Tumblr deserves no praise for it, I was more commenting on the highlighting making it look like the guy was a crypto-nazi or something.

oh nooo. i didn’t even read it that way. x.x this was a submission. well they are not a crypto-nazi. for everyones information… tumblr apparently can’t take two seconds to check people’s blogs before they permanently delete already previously deactivated blogs…. 

because apparently they can’t tell on their end when an account was deactivated and then repossessed by someone with another email entirely who doesn’t post nazi content anymore… apparently thats too much to ask for.. it’s too much to ask tumblr actually look at the blogs they’re deleting for eternity.
