On this day, 29 April 1968 Chinese poet and communist Lin Zhao was executed. She joined the revolutionary movement aged 16 and went to the countryside to redistribute land to the peasants. However while at university later she criticised the Communist Party when encouraged to do so, but was later punished as a result and was beaten, tortured, sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment and eventually shot. Her mother was sent a bill of 5 cents for the bullet. http://bit.ly/2IOiToA
