• Queen Sofie was a Danish queen from 1157, where she, as a 16-year-old, married King Valdemar the Great (1157-82). She was born in Russia on approximately 1141 and died in 1198. The bust is made of casting of skull taken by opening her grave in the Cathedral in Ringsted, Skt. Bendts Kirke, in 1855, otherwise under the leadership of then King Frederik VI.
