An estimated 600,000 eligible voters aren’t enrolled to vote - and have until April 18th to do it in time for the Federal election (May 18th).

This is a massive amount of people that could change the outcome of the election. That means that we need to make sure as many people as possible are aware of the deadline by reblogging this, posting information on Facebook, twitter, instagram, etc, and informing them to go to www.aec.gov.au/enrol/

And for those who have moved house since the last election it’s important to update your details: www.aec.gov.au/enrol/change-address.htm and if you’ve changed your name: www.aec.gov.au/enrol/change-name.htm

If you’re unsure if your details are up to date you can check via: https://check.aec.gov.au/

It is incredibly important to spread this information before April 18th! Together we can change the future of Australia and the best way to do that is to make sure as many people as possible vote! Remember: politicians want to stay in power, and they do that by putting forward policies to large enough demographics that they can get elected. If you don’t vote they don’t care about making policies that benefit you so enrol to vote and make sure your friends do too! Together we can make a change!

Only a few days left to enrol to vote!

You know what this move is? It’s a government that’s scared of young voters. The climate marches and school strikes have them running scared.

They called the election so close deliberately hoping that younger voters will forget or neglect to get themselves organised to vote. They can’t stop you from voting, voting is mandatory so long as you’re on the electoral roll, but they want to avoid you getting onto the electoral roll.

It takes a minute to check your enrollment details. It just takes your name, street and suburb. (Remember your middle name).

Heck, you can even check your friend’s enrollment for them if you know their name and address.

Every vote counts. Some seats were decided by under 20 votes last time, which is incredibly close.

Do it now, and recognise that’s a move from a government running scared.
