I really enjoy redesigning showa-era Kaiju. Sometimes my younger friends not familiar with these properties ask me why I would want to illustrate these. I guess there’s something fun about reimagining things the way you would have liked it. Going back and watching these really dated movies have been a real fun treat for me. Here are some comparison photos of what they were like, and how I imagine them to be.

Oh yeah as for the Guiron illustration, I’m slowly working on the thumbnails for that one. Was gonna go to the gym to do a few drawings while on the stationary bike but the gym shut down due to leaky roofs =(. I’ve been lazy about it but I promise I’ll make progress next week.
