The “TNT Area” is quite famous when in regards to Mothman. During World War II, explosives were kept in these igloo-like buildings just a bit north of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. However, in 1966, a group of two couples were driving through the area. They claimed to see a “large flying man with ten-foot wings”following them. In 1968, a teenager claimed to have a run in with Mothman at one of these TNT bunkers as well. The anonymous youth claimed to see a creature standing 6 feet tall, all white, with glowing red eyes. Numerous other people have claimed to see creatures fitting these descriptions around the TNT Area. 

In May of 2010, one of the bunkers exploded suddenly. It contained over 20,000 pounds of unstable explosives at the time.
