Blue Velvet is joining The Criterion Collection, with a special edition Blu-ray and DVD release on May 28. Fred Davis designed the new cover art.

The film has received a 4K digital restoration with 5.1 surround DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack, both supervised by director David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Eraserhead). The original stereo soundtrack is also included.

The 1986 neo-noir mystery film stars Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper, Laura Dern, Hope Lange, George Dickerson, and Dean Stockwell.
