A bronze 𓎛𓋴𓏠𓍖𓈒𓏬 “hsmn” figure of Sobek 𓋴𓃀𓎡𓆋 during the Ptolemaic period 26th Dynasty (600 BC): this solid cast figure depicts the god Sobek as a plump crocodile sprawled on a hollow shrine 𓉱 shaped plinth. The details of his scales are carefully incised, his eyes 𓁹𓏮 have gold 𓋞 “nbw” inlays and on his head he wears an ‘atef’ 𓋚 crown composed of a central tall reed 𓇋 crown with bulbous top (now lost) and sun disc 𓇳, flanked by ostrich feathers 𓆄𓆄 and upreared cobras 𓆗𓆗, all mounted on a pair of twisted ram’s horns 𓄅.
