A bronze ๐“Ž›๐“‹ด๐“ ๐“–๐“ˆ’๐“ฌ โ€œhsmnโ€ figure of Sobek ๐“‹ด๐“ƒ€๐“Žก๐“†‹ during the Ptolemaic period 26th Dynasty (600 BC): this solid cast figure depicts the god Sobek as a plump crocodile sprawled on a hollow shrine ๐“‰ฑ shaped plinth. The details of his scales are carefully incised, his eyes ๐“น๐“ฎ have gold ๐“‹ž โ€œnbwโ€ inlays and on his head he wears an โ€˜atefโ€™ ๐“‹š crown composed of a central tall reed ๐“‡‹ crown with bulbous top (now lost) and sun disc ๐“‡ณ, flanked by ostrich feathers ๐“†„๐“†„ and upreared cobras ๐“†—๐“†—, all mounted on a pair of twisted ramโ€™s horns ๐“„….
