House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Donald Trump traded words today about the date and location of the State of the Union. Trump had said he planned to address Congress, as planned, on Jan. 29. But Pelosi said the House will not host the president’s speech while the federal government is shut down. Trump responded by saying Pelosi “cancelled” the speech “because she doesn’t want to hear the truth.” (at Washington, District of Columbia)
