A five friends, all doctors, go on a camping trip to a remote wilderness lake. The whole time they are watched by a disfigured madman. He steals their boots in the night and sets traps for them as they try to hike their way out. He blames all doctors for his disfigurement. They try to maintain their humanity as they are forced to deplorable extremes to survive in an unforgiving landscape.
