The first look at David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Hellboy has been revealed. I was rooting for a third installment in Guillermo del Toro’s take on the property with Ron Perlman in the titular role, but it’s impossible not to be sold on this image.

The R-rated reboot of Hellboy, based on the popular comic series of the same name, is currently in production for a 2018 release via Lionsgate. Neil Marshall (The Descent) directs from a script by Aron Coleite (Heroes), Andrew Cosby (Eureka), Christopher Golden, and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola.

The cast also includes Ian McShane (American Gods) as Trevor Bruttenholm, Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) as Nimue, Sasha Lane (American Honey) as Alice Monaghan, Penelope Mitchell (Hemlock Grove) as Ganeida, and Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) as Ben Daimio.
