“Narrow minds devoid of imagination. Intolerance, theories cut off from reality, empty terminology, usurped ideals, inflexible systems. Those are the things that really frighten me. What I absolutely fear and loathe.” – Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore

Relief depicting the goddess Hathor, detail from the Ptolemaic Temple of Hathor and Ma’at at Deir el-Medina.
Pantheistic deity, ptolemaic period circa 332-30 bc
Does anyone know if this is Yinepu or…?
Sort of is, sort of isn’t. “Pantheistic” means the statue represents all of Netjer - the prefix “pan” meaning “all” or “everything”- so it’s an all-the-gods statue, which includes Yinepu but it isn’t strictly a statue of Him. This one just happens to have a jackal head.
Thanks!
