In my country we make sure every single students knows the horrors our people went through when the Spanish came because it was us who were left after we kicked them out. That’s the difference between having the indigenous people win and having them defeated, winners get to write history. Too bad they left their racist and sexist way of thinking on their way out because that’s still felt to this day.
