On this day, 16 May 1934, Minneapolis truck drivers in the Teamsters union went on strike, shutting down almost all commercial transport in the city. The dispute lasted over three months, ending with most of the workers’ demands being met and opening the way for more workers’ organisation in Minneapolis. With its months of fierce battles between striking workers on one side, and scabs, protected by police and private guards, on the other, it also became one of US labour history’s most iconic events of the 20th Century.
This book has an exciting history of the strike: https://shop.workingclasshistory.com/products/strike-jeremy-brecher https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=627336972772855&set=a.602588028581083&type=3

In this video I talk about the 42 laws of Ma’at, Egyptian Goddess of order, truth, justice, morality, and harmony. Generally this subject is very simple but it is good to go over the whole of it! It can be a very entertaining topic to go over when considering how people viewed these laws back in the day. I hope you all enjoy this video!
